Our holiday in France began with a trip to the gardens that Monet rented in Giverny. They were very impressive and I could really imagine how Monet was inspired to paint the water lilies. The place is full of tourists at around 10:30 am with a very long queue to get into the house that goes with the garden . By 12:30 most of the tourist buses (which were full of Japanese, American and other Asian people) had rounded up the crowds so that you could enter the house immediately. It is amazing what the pulling power of lunch is in France.
Toby also had to enjoy the place whether he wanted to or not!
So, to try and get you imagination going have a look at these.
